About Marc’s Boats

I studied boat building at the Boat Building Academy in Lyme Regis from March-December 2008 when I obtained the City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Boat Building, Maintenance and Support.

During the past year my partner and I have decided that we really want to live on a sailing boat, wooden of course, we are now actively looking for a suitable boat.

As part of this lifestyle change, until we find our boat, we are going to be living in and working from our LDV Convoy van, affectionately named Charlotte. Our van is a traveling workshop. This means I am able to bring my workshop to wherever your boat is.

Being a traveling boat builder and not having a workshop base enables me to keep my overheads low which in turn means I am able to offer very competitive hourly rates.

If a workshop is needed for instance for restoration or new build work then premises can be rented as close to you as possible.
